Harvesting Sweet Peas this morning. It occurred to me how many we have had this year and they still keep coming. In a garden established less than nine months ago.
Then this song popped into my head! Oh Sweet Pea! Tommy Roe released this in 1966.
Flowers in water then headed over to YouTube and found this. Priceless. A dad dancing in the kitchen classic!
Oh sweet pea come on and dance with me
Come on, come on, come on and dance with me
Oh sweet pea won't you be my girl
Won't you, won't you, won't you be my girl
I went to a dance just the other night
I saw a girl there she was out of sight
I asked a friend of mine who she could be
He said that her friends just call her sweet pea

A few more sweet peas - now my sketchbooks are back on the shelf!
Billie, Yes a flower of memories and my dad grew them too! And would take bunches to his firm's stand at the Essex Agricultural Show!
Billie, and thank you. Swim safely enjoy what must be warm water this week!
I love sweet peas. My dad used to grow them. They always remind me of him.
